Our team has acquired, owned, and operated online businesses for over 18 years. For the majority of that time, we looked to brokerages to provide us with new acquisitions. Occasionally we’d find one. The problem wasn’t with the brokers or brokerages (there are a lot of great brokers and brokerages out there), it was in the structure.
Brokerages are inherently a seller based system. After all, buyers have the money but brokerages are structured and paid around a seller based system.
That’s why we decided to develop a new structure that puts buyers in the driver’s seat and eliminates the fees for sellers.
We started buying off-market deals for ourselves in 2015 and helped a private equity firm acquire over a dozen businesses. In 2019 we incorporated, systematized, and opened up the service to new firms. Falcon River was born.
Our main goal has always been to connect buyers and sellers together in a win-win bias free environment.
